On February 10, RINGO held its last workshop at CIRA – Italian Aerospace Research Centre premises. This time, the workshop took place in the frame of Work Package 5 and focused on the “Operational Models for Research Infrastructures”.

RINGO partners involved in WP5 (Piaggio Aero Industries, CIRA, DNW, INTA, and Evalue) attended the workshop. Further, also representatives of relevant institutions operating Large Infrastructures, both in the Aviation field (namely: ETW, RTA, Technical University of Braunschweig, and University of Bologna) and in other domains (such as ESA – European Space Agency and CERN), attended.

The workshop allowed discussing on and comparing different operational and business models for Research Infrastructures. Debate progressed on the basis of an open discussion, through sharing business cases and experiences, and supported by useful presentations. As a main outcome of the workshop, the final deliverables of WP5 will highly consider its conclusions.

A tour to the two main CIRA facilities, the Plasma Wind Tunnel and the Icing Wind Tunnel, closed the workshop.

Thanks everybody for allowing this workshop being successful!
